41% of large companies are paying staffers to read employee email

A new survey by Forrester Research finds that 41 percent of large companies (those with 20,000 or more employees) are paying employees to read or otherwise analyze the contents of employees' outbound e-mail. This further supports the fact that companies which do not have a proactive approach to email and data control are leavinging themselves open to enormous risk. Quite simply, email is a time bomb.
The study found 44 percent of the companies surveyed had investigated an e-mail leak of confidential data in the past year and 26 percent said they fired an employee for violating e-mail policies. However, this means that almost 60% of the companies surveyed most likely have unquantified and unmanaged email risk. Over the next twelve months this will change.

Ferrier Hodgson & Nuix Make e-Discovery Process Faster, Smarter & More Cost-Effective!

Last month more than 70 Hong-Kong based investment bankers, corporate executives and lawyers spent the afternoon with Nuix and leading advisory firm Ferrier Hodgson, learning about our new partnership and how it will dramatically reduce the time, risk and cost for them to undertake eDiscovery and corporate investigations.

The partnership will enable Ferrier Hodgson to offer a new service to its clients, under the InSight brand, which will encompass a number of solutions to meet global litigation support requirements for the future.
