| Nuix Evidence Mover is a stand alone program that ensures error free copying of data from one location to another. Copying or moving important electronically stored information (ESI) for the purpose of litigation, compliance or internal investigations is a critical task. In most cases it is possible to copy the data without problems using a program such as Windows, but occasionally the data doesn't arrive intact. Problems can occur with some file types, for example, NTFS compressions and RAID 5 destination configurations. |
| Nuix Evidence Mover provides: |
- Recursive Folder Crawling - with this feature enabled, Nuix Evidence Mover will copy all sub-directories and their entire contents. This allows for a complete directory copy to be performed, regardless of how many sub-directories and files exist. Nuix Evidence Mover will automatically create any folders necessary on the destination side.

- Compare Mode - Nuix Evidence Mover can automatically ensure that all of the files in the target location contain perfect copies of all files in the source location. When a file in the destination location already exists, Nuix Evidence Mover automatically hashes both copies to ensure that the copy in the destination location is exactly the same as the one in the source location. This can save the time it takes to copy the file again, particularly if the destination location is on another machine. If the two are not the same, Nuix Evidence Mover will copy the source file and replace the destination file with the correct data.

- Fully Forensically Sound Data Verification - Nuix Evidence Mover automatically performs separate MD5 hashes of the source copy, the data as it is transferred, and the destination copy. If any of these three hashes do not match during the copy process, the data is re-copied over again until all three hashes match.

- Logging - Nuix Evidence Mover creates a log of every file copied as well as any error conditions that may have occurred. This can help to determine disk problems in a laboratory environment, as well as documentation purposes.
