Nuix adaptive security eases endpoint agent fatigue

HERNDON, VA - September 28, 2018 – Nuix (www.nuix.com), a cybersecurity, risk, and compliance software company, today announced a new Windows Defender Antivirus integration enabling customers to remove their existing antivirus agent, freeing up endpoint resources and budget. Available as part of the Fall 2018 release, the integration also introduces the ability to receive Windows Defender alerts, initiate malware scans, as well as review the scan results – from directly within Adaptive Security.

“We’ve heard our customers and the market loud and clear,” said Stuart Clarke, Security and Intelligence Solution Head. “Agent fatigue and the lack of fundamental integrations in traditional endpoint products is making security teams work harder than they need to and making an already complex job even more challenging.”

AMPLIFYING SECURITY TEAM EFFECTIVENESS

In addition to the Windows Defender Antivirus integration, the Fall 2018 release of Adaptive Security introduces several new and improved capabilities, enabling customers to:

  • Stay FIPS Compliant.  Organizations and government agencies can ensure they are meeting Federal FIPS 140-2 Level 1 requirements for protecting sensitive information with the new FIPS compliance mode.
  • Maximize Team Effectiveness. The new and improved investigator’s console streamlines workflows and reduces the number of steps required to triage alerts, hunt for threats, and respond to incidents; enabling security analysts and incident responders to spend less time managing the product and more time finding and resolving threats.
  • Reduce the Time to Resolve an Incident. New security dashboards proactively display high-value security and system health information - such as top alerts and connected/disconnected agents – for easy prioritization of which issues should be addressed first and reduce the time between detecting and resolving threats that pose the greatest risk.
  • Manage Access for Greater Security and Performance.  Improved role-based access control (RBAC) provides more flexibility and control when it comes to managing who has access to Adaptive Security, including what they can access within the system and what actions they can perform.

“Keeping endpoint security nimble and ensuring that the capabilities in Adaptive Security maximize customer resources - both people and budget - is critical”, said Danny Pidutti, Chief Product Officer. “Nuix strives with every product release to put the power and control to effectively manage risk into our customers’ hands.”
